The research group of Prof. Moritz Malischewski is looking for highly motivated candidates who would like to do challenging chemistry at the interface between organometallic/coordination and fluorine chemistry. Requirements: Master in chemistry with a strong academic record. PhD position at RWTH Aachen University in the field of solid-state NMR spectroscopy applied to polymer mechanochemistry. The research group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Wiegand at the Institute of Technical and Macromolecular Chemistry, RWTH Aachen University, is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate (TVL-13, 67%) for a project within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Centre Polymer Mechanochemistry. The project aims to investigate covalent and non-covalent bond cleavage in high molar mass nucleic acids induced by ultrasound using advanced solid-state NMR spectroscopy under magic-angle spinning conditions. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary and internationally visible research environment at the interface of polymer mechanochemistry, nucleic acid chemistry and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Im Rahmen eines gemeinsamen Forschungsprojekts der Universität Rostock mit der Photonion GmbH und JDE Peet’s ist zum 01.11.2026 eine Doktorandenstelle (m/w/d) im Bereich Analytische Chemie/Lebensmittelchemie zu besetzen. Gegenstand der Promotion ist die Untersuchung neuartiger Verfahren der Kaffeeröstung unter erhöhtem Druck und mit Wasserdampf. Experimentelle Röstversuche werden mit Echtzeit-Photoionisations-Massenspektrometrie (PI-MS), ergänzender chemischer und sensorischer Analytik sowie multivariater Datenanalyse und Machine Learning kombiniert. The University of Konstanz is offering a Ph.D. position (13-TV-L/50%) for a motivated student interested in gaining a Ph.D. in Colloid Chemistry. The research project, which is at the intersection of chemistry, physics, and materials science, will cover the synthesis and characterization of organic nanoparticles. This involves developing and optimizing synthesis strategies and conducting careful investigations of particle morphology, including the use of AI-based methods. Requirements: Prior experience with nanomaterials (colloids and Polymers), the ability to conduct independent research, good command in scientific writing, good communication skills in English and skills in programming (Python) are desired. TU Darmstadt is offering a PhD position (Kekulé Fellowship, funded by the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie) in the theoretical chemistry research group of Dr. Elena Kolodzeiski on the theoretical modeling of complex heterogeneous interfaces. Postdoctoral Position (TV-L E13) starting November 2026 or later in the field of MOF-based delivery at OVGU Magdeburg. The Chair of Inorganic Chemistry at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on the development of MOF-based materials for the delivery of enzyme inhibitors. The project combines MOF and coordination chemistry with biomedical applications and will be conducted in close collaboration with biological researchers. The work will include the synthesis and characterization of MOF-based delivery systems, inhibitor loading and release, and evaluation of enzyme activity and cytotoxicity. Das ausgeschriebene Projekt erweitert unsere Metall-Bausteine um chirale organische Chromophore. Ziel sind helikale Fasern definierter Helizität, in denen Chiralitätstransfer vom Liganden auf das Aggregat zu zirkular polarisierter Lumineszenz führt. Das supramolekulare Material soll im Anschluss durch Licht, Temperatur oder Gastmoleküle reversibel geschaltet werden, um Emission, Chiralität und Morphologie extern zu kontrollieren. Die Arbeit umfasst die mehrstufige Ligand- und Komplexsynthese, die mechanistische Analyse mittels UV/Vis- und Fluoreszenzspektroskopie sowie Elektronenmikroskopie und die Integration in optoelektronische Bauteile wie OLEDs in Zusammenarbeit mit der Experimentalphysik.
